Ziplines Adventure in Punta Cana [The Longest of the Caribbean]

Your high-flying adventure starts out either in the early morning or in the early afternoon with pick-up from your resort in the Punta Cana area. You’ll be taken to the great outdoors aboard a bus, passing through the incredible views of the Anamuya Mountains in the heart of the eastern Dominican Republic for a little more than 1 hour. When you finally arrive to the adventure center, you’ll be able to immediately sense that this won’t be an ordinary day.

Take in the scenery as you stand in awe of Punta Cana’s sloping hillsides, expansive vistas, and dense woods that tower all around you and the guests from other resorts. But don’t get stuck on merely looking at the Anamuya Mountains and being wowed by them. Soon enough, you’re going to be seeing these incredible landscapes from a totally different angle by soaring high above them!


Zipline Dominican Republic: Gear up with safety equipment and prepare with a briefing
At the adventure center, you’ll be welcomed by your knowledgeable bilingual guides. They’ll make sure you have all the information you need regarding the equipment you’ll wear and the ways to be safe. Gear up with a helmet, special zip-lining gloves, and a harness, all of which will ensure your total safety throughout your flight across the mountains, which are some of the tallest in the Dominican Republic.

You’ll also receive a briefing from your experienced guides, demonstrating the correct position to sit on your harness and the correct manner to place your hands over the cable, making you either go fast or slow down during your airborne adventure. Once everyone is set, you’re ready for a totally wild adventure that will have you exploring the Punta Cana outdoors on a top-notch zip line circuit consisting of 18 platforms and 12 zip lines, covering more than 1.2 miles of awesomeness.

Let yourself go and fly over the Anamuya Mountains
Kick off your high-flying excitement at the first platform tower, which is not too far from the camp’s entrance. Once you climb that tower and let loose from that starting platform, you’ll feel just a small taste of the exhilaration you’ll experience during your day. The first zip lines are smaller and not quite as fast, but this is completely by design. The course layout will help you build your confidence and courage.

Even more, the smaller zip lines are designed to get you even more eager to try the longer and faster cables coming up ahead. As you progress on your Punta Cana zip line tour, you’re in for additional rushes that will keep your adrenaline levels sky-high. As proof of this, you’ll travel at a speed of about 35 miles per hour as soon as you let go and soar away from the sixth cable!
